Help with Agricultural Insurance, not subsidies

This new idea for an agrarian countries that rely on income from the agricultural sector. Agricultural insurance should be considered to be implemented as it is considered more effective than providing subsidies. Indeed, during this, subsidies also provide assistance, such as fertilizers and pesticides, but can not touch all the farmers and their needs.

Agricultural insurance is considered more helpful to farmers, especially during cultivation when facing the uncertainty of weather and pest attacks. Insurance will be very useful for farmers who have little capital. At least, by paying a low premium, farmers can get compensation of agricultural production means, in case of crop failure can be fully replaced the losses. Agricultural insurance has been applied in Australia.

Agricultural insurance requires a strong base of weather forecasting. Climatological data from the Bureau of Meteorology and Geophysics Agency in each country, can be utilized. The phenomenon of climate change is happening now, such a shift in seasons, rainy and dry season limit is no longer clear, and global warming affect the development of crop pests, which in turn disrupt the national food production.

Data Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations says, the average loss of plant products in the world due to pest attack is almost half of total world food supply.
